11 Months

What she loves:
* reading
* playing on the computer
* waving hi and bye
* giving kisses and hugs
* music - she has started "singing" along
* Minnie Mouse and her Princesses
* giggling and smiling
* Brother Jacks' water bowl

What she doesn't like so much:
* sometimes staying still, especially for a diaper change

Daily Life with Libby Anne:  Libby Anne is such a joy to be around.  She is so happy, sweet and smart.  It is so precious when she asks for a kiss or just decides she wants to hug and cuddle with you.  We spend a lot of time reading books because Libby Anne loves to sit in our laps and listen.  She still hasn't taken her first steps on her own yet (which is perfectly fine with me... I don't want her growing up so quickly!).  But don't let her fool you, she is perfectly capable of getting around without being able to walk, and she is very quick!  Almost every night, Libby Anne and I play a game where I chase after her and snatch her up for some tickles and she just laughs and laughs.  It is something I look forward to all day because it is so much fun to hear those giggles.

Milestones this month: Libby Anne had her first visit to the dentist this month, and she did great.  The big change this month is her sleeping- she is consistently sleeping through the night (7pm to 6am) now, with an occassional waking once a night.

Family Fun Day at the Zoo

Today was my last FMLA day off... which means no more Family Fun Days, and I now have to work a full 5 days a week.  I can't talk about it (or type about it) without crying, so I am going to just leave it at that.

Today also happened to be Jacks' birthday!  He is 10 years old today.  To celebrate, he went to Doggie Daycare to play with some friends.  Then he had lots of cuddles tonight.  Happy Birthday to my first baby, Jacks!

We went to the Richmond Metro Zoo today for the first time.  Libby Anne was very interested in looking at all the animals, but her favorites were the ducks and the giraffes.

I loved her little rolls on her legs....

 I am really looking forward to signing Libby Anne up for dance classes.  She likes to point her toes...

She was so excited for the ducks!  Daddy likes to make "quack quack" sounds with Libby Anne when they play, so when she heard them in real life she was thrilled...

This was my favorite moment of the day.  After hanging out with the giraffes, Libby Anne decided she just wanted to give Daddy some love.  So she squeezed him tight and rested her head on his shoulder.  It was so incredibly sweet....

Libby Anne was very interested in my snow cone, so I shared some of the ice with her.  She really enjoyed it and kept asking for more.

Kisses for Mommy!

There was a little train ride through part of the zoo where we could see animals up close.

After the zoo, we went to our favorite restaurant Maggiano's for lunch.  Thankfully Libby Anne likes it as much as we do.  She devoured her macaroni and cheese.

It was such a pretty afternoon.  We walked around the outdoor mall for a while and did some shopping.  Libby Anne spotted the fountain so we stopped for her to play with the water.  She loves playing in water!

After our fun afternoon, we headed back home to pick Jacks up from daycare.  He was a very happy and tired pup.  It was a great day for all of us!
