Libby Anne is fascinated by trees and their leaves... especially if the wind is blowing and making the leaves rustle and fall to the ground. I often wonder what is going through her little mind, because it is clear that she is definitely thinking intently.
The other day it was a gorgeous fall afternoon, so I took Libby Anne out into the yard to play with some leaves for a little while. Jacks escaped from the house and came to join us as well.
It is simple moments like these that I enjoy so much with Libby Anne. Just playing in the yard with the leaves. I love going on adventures with her (and Rick), but I don't want to ever take the simple, small things for granted. Spending time with Libby Anne is special, no matter what we are doing.

Pumpkin Patch
Rick was off on a rare Saturday to help me with a vendor table for MickeyTravels. After the event was over, we stopped by Carter's Mountain to play in the pumpkin patch and get some yummy apple doughnuts.
At first, Libby Anne wasn't so sure about the pumpkins. But once she warmed up to them, she had lots of fun patting on them, giving them loves (where she rests the side of her face on them and says "awwww," like she does when she gives us her love), and playing with the stems.
It made me realize just how much I miss our time together as a family. Not having any days off with Rick has been really hard for me. It was so wonderful to be able to spend a few hours together doing something fun with Libby Anne.

12 Months! (long overdue)
I prefer to refer to Libby Anne as 12 months old rather than a year old because it just makes me feel better. I am not ready for her to grow up, and 1 year old is just way too grown up for me! So here is my 12 month old little princess:
What she loves:
* clapping
* doing "So Big!"
* reading
* waving hi and bye
* clapping
* her Minnie Mouse shoes
* giggling and smiling
* feeding herself
* playing with her cousins (and soaking in all the attention they give her)
* Walt Disney World!
What she doesn't like so much:
* staying still when she doesn't want to
Daily Life with Libby Anne: Libby Anne has such a sweet personality. She gives "loves," when she rests the side of her face on you (or one of her stuffed animals) and makes an "awwwww" sound, sometimes rocking back and forth or patting with her hand. It is absolutely precious! She smiles and waves at everyone. Whether it is food with her brother Jacks or toys with Mommy and Daddy, Libby Anne loves to share. She is very curious and smart. While she isn't talking much yet (still just saying Mama), she understands so much we say to her. I have a feeling that whenever she does start to talk, she will be talking up a storm. She is the happiest little girl.
Milestones this month: Turning 1 year old... that is more than enough for me to handle this month!
